Die im 12. Jahrhundert erbaute Wehrkirche von Michelsberg (Cisnădioara) ist eine der ältesten romanischen Basiliken Rumäniens, seit ihren Ursprüngen fast unverändert geblieben. Der Überlieferung nach musste jeder Bursche vor seiner Heirat schwere Steinbrocken auf die Burg bringen, die dann im Kirchhof darauf harrten, auf angreifende Feinde herabgerollt zu werden. Heute wird die Burg am Fuße des Cindrel-Gebirges von Filmvorführungen, Konzerten oder romantischen Picknicks im Mondschein belebt.
